Senate President lawal:Budget will be pass within three months .

eaglestare.blogspot.com President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan has said that henceforth the National Assembly would ensure the passage of the nation’s appropriation bill within three months of its submission by the executive arm of government. Lawan stated this known when he fielded questions from State House correspondents after joining President Muhammadu Buhari to perform the weekly Friday’s Juma’at prayer at the Aso Rock Mosque, Abuja. He, however, expressed the hope that the executive would always ensure early submission of the budget to enable the assembly deliberate and pass it in good time. Supreme Court affirmed Mr umaru as a winner of the senatorial sit.

The court in a unanimous judgement led by Ibrahim Muhammad held that Mr Umaru, who was elected on the platform of  All Progressives Congress (APC) , was not validly nominated by the party. The court said it was satisfied that the appellant, Mohammed Sani, was the rightful winner of the primary election APC conducted for the senatorial district. The court set aside the judgment of the Court of Appeal in Abuja, which on April 8 affirmed Mr Umaru as the winner of the Senatorial seat. Consequently, the Supreme Court restored the judgement of the Federal High Court in Abuja, which declared Mr Sani as the validly nominated candidate of the APC for the election.
