Rwandan President, Paul Kagame, says President Muhammadu Buhari and other African leaders must refocus their efforts and passion on creating value, wealth and should stop fighting corruption endlessly. Speaking at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) summit in Abuja, Kagame congratulated Buhari on his victory at the poll and said Nigeria must share resources equitably, so everyone can join the fight against corruption. Ponzi scheme fraudsters Mr eke arraigned by Efcc in calabar

eaglestare.blogspot.com  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned Uno Michael Eke, the registered trustee of Micheno Multi-purpose Cooperative Society, before Justice Simon Amobeda of the Federal High Court in Calabar, Cross River State, on a separate 74-count charge, for allegedly obtaining over N320 million by false pretence from his victims. Eke allegedly defrauded his victims through a Ponzi scheme by inducing his victims to invest in his Swissgolden packages, through his company, Micheno Multi-purpose Cooperative Society, under the false pretence of paying them 80 percent return on investment within just 40 days. With the bait, Eke reportedly duped many people through the scheme and when his investors started calling for their money with expected interest, he could not be reached. The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a 21-year-old undergraduate of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, AAUA, Ondo State  gathered that the deceased identified as Daniel Paul Oluwatosin, a 200 level student of the institution’s Philosophy Department, was allegedly killed by suspected cultists during initiation process into “aiye” confraternity. Three suspects, who were linked to the killing of the deceased, have subsequently been arrested by the police. The suspected cultists nabbed included Ifedayo Oluwaseun 19; Nafiu Akani David, 22 and Ajibola Philips aged 22. German government interest to invest €2m on rice in Nigeria

The German government, with support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, has provided two million Euros for the implementation of the second phase of the Competitive African Rice Initiative (CARI) in the country. eaglestare.blogspot.com The Programme Director of CARI, Mr Jean-Bernard Lalannehe, on Wednesday, told journalists in Abuja. Lalannehe said the second phase of the project known as CARI-2, would be implemented in Kebbi, Kaduna and Jigawa states. According to him, the aim is to help smallholder farmers to increase their income and provide their families and the country with high-quality rice. CARI was launched in four African countries namely, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Ghana and Tanzania in 2013.
